The total number of COVID-19 cases in Assam rose to 212 as two persons tested positive at Zonal Quarantine Centre at Tezpur University on Friday morning.
In a tweet, state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “Two persons at Zonal Quarantine Centre at Tezpur Univ test COVID19 +.”

One patient is from Dhekiajuli and the other from Udalguri, the tweet further added.

The state now has 151 active cases while 54 persons have been discharged from the hospital, three have migrated and 4 have died of it.
A total of 22 people tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, taking the state’s overall tally to 210.
