Assam’s COVID-19 tally on Thursday afternoon reached 191 after two persons at Kokrajhar quarantine centre tested positive for coronavirus.
State health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, in a tweet, said, “Two persons at Kokrajhar Quarantine Center tested & confirmed #COVID19 positive.”

Assam is now nine short of 200 cases.
Earlier in the morning doctors at the Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital in Barpeta confirmed one new positive COVID-19 case, which took the Assam’s tally to 189.
Assam now has 136 active cases, 48 patients have recovered, four people have died and three patients have migrated.
