Two more people tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday, taking the total number of positive cases in Assam to 91.
In a tweet on Saturday afternoon, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “Alert ~ 2 more persons, related to Aloo Godam case, test #COVID19 + in Guwahati.”

On Friday night, the total number of positive COVID-19 cases in Assam rose to 89 after three persons tested positive for coronavirus in Guwahati.
Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said of the three persons, one was from Sarusajai Quarantine centre, one was a patient of Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) and one had migrated to West Bengal.
Assam as on Saturday has 46 active cases, 41 persons have recovered and two persons have lost their lives.
