The COVID-19 fatalities in Assam increased to 540 with 12 more persons succumbing to the disease on Friday, informed Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The deceased have been identified as Hussain Ali (75) of Nagaon, Manik Paul (66) of Kamrup (Metro), Bijay Krishna Mazumdar (60) of Nagaon, Anjali Basumatary (45) of Chirang, Shailendra Das (61) of Karbi Anglong, Minati Barthakur (38) of Sivasagar, Kanak Kachari (53) of Jorhat, Rehana Begum (52) of Sivasagar, Juri Sutradhar (25) of Jorhat, Pronob Nath (59) of Cachar, Narayan Ch Kalita (58) of Nalbari, and Bhadreswar Gogoi (59) of Dibrugarh.
