Two more persons from Silchar quarantine centre on Friday were found COVID-19 positive, taking Assam’s overall tally of positive coronavirus infected cases to 216.
This was informed by Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet on Friday afternoon.

One person is from Cachar and the other is from Hailakandi, Sarma further said in the tweet.

With these two cases, Assam has reported an increase of six cases till Friday afternoon.
There are 155 active cases in Assam so far and four persons have already died of the virus. Three patients have migrated from the state.
