With a positivity rate of 1.41 per cent for the day, Assam on Monday recorded a total of 1521 new COVID-19 cases out of 1,07,900 tests conducted.
This was informed in a tweet my state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
“In what shall we treat as a better outcome, I am glad to share that we carried out one lakh plus (107900) tests and only 1521 cases detected, taking the positivity rate further down to 1.41%,” he tweeted.
With the new cases, the total cases in Assam now stand at 195304 and so far 164579 cases have been discharged from various hospitals and COVID care centres of the state.

Earlier, 1457 patients were discharged from various hospitals and COVID care centres of the state.
In a tweet, state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “1457 patients discharged today. While we are doing better each day, I advise people to keep taking precautions. For now, #Mask is the #vaccine!”
