With an aim to boost immunity by using the lockdown period in a productive way, Smita Parashar- a girl from Bajali- has begun online yoga coaching.

Speaking to Northeast Now, Smita said that the restricted travel, panic over the risk of infection, continuous flow of negative news and scarcity of day-to-day material were some of the things that gave her the idea to start the online yoga classes.

“To remain confined inside the house is mentally challenging,” she further said.

“Yoga, apart from helping to maintain a healthy lifestyle, also help in keeping anxiety and mental health in check,” she added.

Smita has completed BPEd with a specialization in yoga and also has a Masters degree in yogic science and naturopathy.

“I want the next generation to remain stress-free with a strong immune system and healthy body,” she further said.

“The sole aim behind these online sessions is to pass on the mantra of staying fit and healthy during this pandemic,” she added.

“As social-distancing has reduced our physical movements, it is important to uplift vitality without having to step out of the comfort of our homes,” she said.

“With the practice of good hygiene, one must also adopt ways to boost one’s immunity naturally,” she added.
