Two more persons succumbed to coronavirus infection in Assam taking the COVID-19 fatality tally in the state to 14.
The deceased have been identified as Prabhudayal Vidawatka (78) and Subhash Kalita (56).

In a tweet, state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “With heavy heart, I share this with you all ~ We’ve lost two precious lives to the pandemic.”
“Late Prabhudayal Vidawatka (78) & Late Subhash Kalita (56), with comorbidities succumbed to #COVID19,” he added.
“My prayers and condolences are with Vidawatka and Kalita families,” Sarma further said.

It may be mentioned here that a total of 8.955 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in Assam and the total active case in Assam is 3,109.
