A total of seven patients succumbed to COVID-19 infection in Assam on Sunday, taking the overall tally to 296.
The deceased have been identified as Bidyadeep Bhuyan (48), Kiran Bora (50) of Golaghat, Nipjyoti Baruah (48), Md Sohrabuddin Ahmed (70) of Kamrup (Metro), Ramila Sutradhar (45), Sachin Chandra Brahma (58) of Chirang and Bhaskar Bijoy Gupta (50) of Cachar.
This was informed in a tweet by health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

The state now has a total of 22,432 cases and 81,070 patients have recovered from the infection.
