The total number of COVID-19 cases in Assam rose to 2693 after 12 fresh cases were reported from across the state on Monday afternoon.
In a tweet, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “Alert ~ 12 new #COVID19+ cases reported. 7 Nagaon, 5 Barpeta.”

The state now has 2050 active cases, while 636 patients have recovered from the infection and four people have succumbed to the disease so far.
Meanwhile, three patients have migrated out of the state till date.
