The total number of COVID-19 cases in Assam rose to 2565 after 92 fresh cases were reported in the state on Sunday afternoon.
Informing this in a tweet, state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “Alert ~ 92 new #COVID19+ cases 39 Hojai, 24 Dhubri, 10 Nagaon, 7 Golaghat, 6 Majuli, 5 Lakhimpur, 1 Dhemaji.”

Of the new cases, 39 patients are from Hojai, 10 from Dhubri, 7 from Golaghat, 5 from Lakhimpur, and 1 from Dhemaji.
There are now 1970 active cases in Assam and 588 patients have already recovered while 4 persons have succumbed to the infection.
COVID-19 cases in Assam are rising at an exponential rate since the last few weeks.
