A total of 117 patients on Monday afternoon were discharged from various hospitals in Assam, taking the overall discharged tally to 3521.
In a tweet, state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “Glad to share that more patients have been discharged today from various civil, dist & model hospitals in Assam after being tested negative.”

The state now has 2053 active cases and 11 people have lost their lives so far.
The health minister, addressing the press earlier on the day, said that soon the state will complete the conduction of 3 lakh COVID-19 tests.
