Over a 12,000 COVID-19 tests were conducted in Assam on Friday, informed state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet.
“My salute to the Team for having covered over 12,000 more tests, taking our #COVID19 testing figures for today to 258797. It was 246,590 on June 18,” he tweeted.
“Request all to cooperate with our teams,” the tweet added.

Assam so far has recorded 4904 cases with 2044 active cases.
A total of 2848 patients have recovered and 9 patients have died so far due to the COVID-19 infection.
