The total COVID-19 cases in Assam have reached 319, as 53 new cases were reported in the state on Saturday afternoon, informed state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Of the 53 new cases, 44 are from Sarusajai quarantine centres, seven from Dima Hasao and two from Cachar, Sarma further informed.

With these new cases, the total numbers of active cases in Assam are 258, 54 persons have recovered, 4 people have died and three have migrated out of the state.
