Assam BJP chief Bhabesh Kalita has claimed that more Congress MLAs from the state are in the queue to join the saffron party.
“More Congress MLAs are in the queue. More will join us in the coming days,” said Assam BJP chief Bhabesh Kalita on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Assam Congress president Bhupen Borah has asked the BJP to focus on developmental of the state, instead of poaching MLAs of other parties.
“The BJP should focus on development of the state, instead of poaching MLAs of other parties,” Assam Congress chief Bhupen Borah reportedly said.

Assam BJP president Bhabesh Kalita along with chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, on Sunday, attended the BJP national executive meeting in new Delhi virtually.
Notably, two MLAs of the Congress party – Rupjyoti Kurmi and Sushanta Borgohain had quit the party and joined the BJP earlier in the year.
Later, both Kurmi and Borgohain joined the BJP and won the by-elections from their respective constituencies.
