The COVID-19 cases in Assam rose to 3319 after 34 new cases were reported in the state on Thursday afternoon.
In a tweet, state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “Alert ~ 34 new #COVID19+ cases reported. 15 Nagaon, 6 Golaghat, 3 Barpeta, 3 Baksa, 3 Sonitpur, 1 Chirang, 1 Karbi Anglong West, 1 Dibrugarh, 1 Lakhimpur.”

Sarma further informed that of the 34 cases, 15 are from Nagaon, six from Golaghat, three are from Barpeta, three from Sonitpur, 1 from Chirang, 1 from Karbi Anglong, 1 fro Dibrugarh and 1 from Lakhimpur.
With this, the number of active cases in Assam rose to 2061.
A total of 1249 people have been discharged and 6 persons have died of COVID-19 in Assam so far.
