Chief Justice of India (CJI) Sharad Arvind Bobde on Sunday morning offered prayers at the Kamakhya temple in Guwahati.
CJI Bobde, who has come to Assam on a two-day visit, arrived at the city on Saturday.

After an overnight stay in Guwahati, justice Bobde visited the Shakti shrine nestled atop scenic Nilachal hills at 9.30 pm on Saturday.
Security was beefed up in the temple premises in view of the CJI’s visit.
Justice Bobde on Saturday addressed an orientation programme on the protection of wildlife being organized by the Judicial Academy, Assam in collaboration with WWF-India at the Assam Administrative Staff College in Guwahati.

The CJI will leave for Mizoram on Sunday afternoon, where he will be staying for two days. Justice Bobde will wrap up his Northeast tour after visiting Tripura on December 23.
