CBSE announces CTET 2018 results; over 3 lakh clear exam

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Saturday announced the results of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2018 and made it available on its official website – ctet.nic.in.

According to a report, published on Saturday by TOI, the results were released on January 4, 2019, on the CBSE results website – cbseresults.nic.in.

The candidates, many of whom are from different parts of the Northeast, who appeared for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), can visit the official website of the CTET to check and download their results.

Around 17 lakh candidates, who appeared for the CTET examination conducted on December 9, 2018 in 92 cities across the country, were eagerly waiting for the announcement of the results.

The examination was conducted in two shifts — 9:30 am to 12:00 noon and 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

The CTET examination was held 2018 after a gap of two years.

Over 3 lakh candidates have qualified for Primary School and Middle School in the CTET examination.

According to the report, a total of 1,78,273 candidates out of 10,73,545 candidates have qualified for the post of Primary School Teacher (Class I to V).

On the other hand, a total of 1,26,968 candidates out of 8,78,425 candidates have qualified for the post of Middle School Teacher (Class VI to Class VIII).

It has been reported this was the fastest ever this result of CTET examination declared by the CBSE.

On December 30, 2018, the CTET had earlier released its official answer key.

The pass percentage of CTET 2018 is Primary School – 17 per cent and Middle School – 15 per cent.
