BJP legislator from Hojai, Shiladitya Dev landed in a soup for his blabbering against the National Register of Citizens as a case has been filed against him in Nagaon on August 29.
The court has fixed September 27 as the next date of hearing.

The case has been filed against Dev at Nagaon on August 29 for allegedly making controversial remarks on the NRC that has the potentiality of destroying the ‘age-old peaceful atmosphere’ of Assam.
Advocate Inamul Huda had filed a case in the court of chief judicial magistrate in Nagaon district accusing the BJP legislator of frequently criticising the NRC through the media and other social networking platforms.
Huda’s complaint was registered under various sections of the Information Technology Act 2000.
