A departmental review meeting was held on Friday in the conference hall of the District Centre at Kajalgaon to asses the various developmental works and inadequacies of different departments of Chirang district.
BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary chaired the meeting where Deputy Chief Kampa Borgayari, MLA Kamalsing Narzary, MCLAs Rwngwra Narzary, Maoti Brahma Hazowary, Nirmal Brahma, Guneswar Basumatary, Atim Hazong, BTC Principal Secretary Biren Ch. Phukan, Secretaries Carol Narzary, Robinson Mochahari, Jolly Das Boro, Jt. Secretaries Dinesh Boro, Subhalaxmi Deka, BTC Ex Speaker Paniram Brahma, Ex. EMs James Basumatary, Niren Ray, Directors and district heads of the departments were present.
During the meeting, BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary said that the district wise meeting is to keep eye on the functioning of the departmental heads in the district levels. “The primary objective of the discussion is to bring changes in terms of development in all district of BTC area, he added. He further said that the problems and grievances of the government departments was reviewed so as to have inclusive development in the district.
Departmental heads like PWD, Health, Education, Agriculture, Irrigation, Forest, Social Welfare, PHE, Veterinary, Social Forestry, Urban Development and Water Resources gave detailed reports, highlighting the achievement and major problems in the district.
Taking serious note of departments in implementing various projects, the BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary directed the departmental heads to complete the work properly.
He instructed the Education Department to take steps for appointment of teachers and staff for vacant posts, and Health Department to run the JSB Civil Hospital smoothly.
