The Kokrajhar district committee of Bodoland People’s Front (BPF), women wing lodged a complaint at Kokrajhar Sadar police station against fake ID in Facebook in the name of Assam social welfare minister Pramila Rani Brahma.
It alleged that a fake ID in the name and style ‘Salai Bijou Batra’ as been created where the BPF vice president and state minister is purportedly urging people to cast vote in favour of UPPL in the symbol of tractor.
Jaymati Basumatary and Ramadevi Chetry, president and secretary of the women wing of BPF said, “Some unscrupulous persons knowingly published the said false and fake post with a malafide intention and ulterior motive to ruin the image of BPF and our leader Pramila Rani Brahma.”
“The circle deliberately and intentionally uploaded the said post in a very derogatory manner to defame the image of Pramila Rani Brahma and BPF party,” they alleged.
Meanwhile, Pramila Rani Brahma urged all supporters of BPF and people of her constituency not to believe the false propaganda which was done by the opposition party.
“Our BPF party is still powerful in the State,” she said.
