“I am confident that BJP will form the next Government in Assam,” CM Sonowal said while inaugurating the saffron party’s election office in Guwahati on Monday.

The Assam State BJP on Monday inaugurated its state-level election office in Guwahati for the upcoming Assembly elections in the State.

Elections for the 126-member Assam Legislative Assembly is likely to be held during April-May this year.

The Election Commission of India has already taken stock of the preparations that are underway in the State for the Assembly polls.

Assam State BJP President Ranjeet Dass inaugurated the election office.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, his cabinet colleagues, MPs, MLAs of the party, BJP national vice-president and in-charge of party Assam unit Baijayant Jay Panda were also present in the inaugural programme.
