Dibrugarh Police on Wednesday arrested BJP’s Ward Commissioner Sudama Pandey after he allegedly assaulted a women security guard at the Gynaecology Department of Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) on Tuesday night.

According to sources, Sudama Pandey on Tuesday night at 8 went to the Gynaecology Department of Assam Medical College and Hospital to visit a patient but the women security guard stopped him from entering the department.

Sudama Pandey had a quarrel with the security guard and as a result he assaulted her with a stick.

The security guard received severe injuries on her head.

A case was registered at Borbari Police Outpost.

Sudama Pandey is the 22 Ward Commissioner of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Dibrugarh.
