BJP MP Topon Kumar Gogoi has tested Covid-19 positive for the second time. Lok Sabha MP Gogoi, who represents Jorhat constituency, tested positive on Friday.
He had got himself tested at a screening centre at Sonari in upper Assam and the report came out positive.
The 52-year-old politician was scheduled to participate in an election rally on Saturday to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Bokakhat.
Earlier in March last year, Gogoi tested positive for Covid-19 and administered plasma at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
