A massive project undertaken by Duliajan Numaligarh Pipeline(DNP) in partnership with Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) for providing gas from house to house through a pipeline will cost Rs 4000 crore.
The project is likely to be completed in a period of 18 to 24 months.
A goal of this project is to provide gas in Guwahati and Silchar households through pipelines. This step will be fulfilled after the gas arrives through a pipeline from Barauni to Guwahati and also through a pipeline from Agartala to Silchar.
Apart from partnering with GAIL, DNPL is also planning to partner with a company named OIL MAX which has been allotted an OIL field in Pengeri, for transporting gas from Pengeri to Duliajan.
