In a few moments from now, the Supreme Court will deliver its verdict on the Ayodhya land dispute case and to prevent any untoward incident following it, the government has taken up a slew of measures across the country.

Schools and other educational institutes have been declared closed in Uttar Pradesh, New Delhi, Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Kerala.
Over 12000 security personnel have also been deployed in Uttar Pradesh.
Schools and colleges in UP will remain closed till Monday.

Security has also been beefed up in Northeast as well.
In a tweet, the East Jaintia Hills police department has urged all to respect the SC verdict and maintain peace in the region.
“EJH Police appeals to everyone to respect the verdict of the Hon’ble SC in Ayodhya case and maintain peace & harmony under all circumstances. Pls do not post any inflammatory material or fake news on social media platforms,” it tweeted.

The government is closely monitoring the social media posts related to Ayodhya verdict and it said anyone posting any posts that may threaten the social fabric would be punished.
Security of the five SC judges, headed by CJI Ranjan Gogoi, has also been beefed up.
The Chief Justice of India (CJI) Ranjan Gogoi, in consultation with the four other judges, on late Friday evening decided to deliver its verdict on the Ayodhya land dispute case at 10:30 am on Saturday.
The other members of the bench are Justices SA Bobde, DY Chandrachud, Ashok Bhushan and S Abdul Nazeer.
