Riyan Parag, a promising cricketer from Assam, is busy practicing for his upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 matches in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The 13th season of the IPL will begin from September 19.

This year, the tournament will be held in three venues including Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Riyan, who represented the Assam state team in various domestic tournaments, will play for Rajasthan Royals in the world’s biggest T20 league.

Riyan is the son of former Assam team cricketer Parag Das and former swimmer Mithu Baruah.

He played a significant role in India’s successful Under-19 triumph in the 2018 World Cup.

The young cricketer from Assam is being trained under Rajasthan Royals batting coach Amal Majumdar, says a media report.

Riyan was lauded by several cricketers, including former Team India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni for his outstanding performance in the last season.

He made his T20 debut for Assam in January 2017.
