Assam’s Anurag Saikia is nominated for the Jio Filmfare Awards (Marathi) 2018 for best background score category for the film Manjha.

The award ceremony will be held on September 27.

Manjha is a Marathi language film, directed by Jatin Wagle, which released in 2017.

Saikia is a film score composer, music director and instrumentalist and one of the youngest composers to be awarded the “Rajat Kamal” National Film Award for Best Non-Feature Film Music Direction for the film Yugadrashta.

The periodic film Yugadrashta was directed by Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta.

His movie credits include Mayong: Myth/Reality (2013), Mumbai Varanasi Express (2016), and Dikchow Banat Palaax (2016). In 2017, he worked on the movie Maj Rati Ketaki directed by Dr. Santwana Bardoloi. His 2018 releases include Xhoixobote Dhemalite, High Jack, Karwaan and Mulk.
