A 47-year-old migrant worker from Naokata in Assam’s Baksa district has gone missing from a Maharashtra-bound train.

Family sources said the worker identified as Haren Rajbongshi has been missing since July 29.

Rajbongshi, a resident of Kalbari village near Naokata, went missing after he boarded a Maharashtra bound train from Rangia Railway Station on July 27.

According to family members, six persons including Rajbongshi were lured by one Rubul Ali who promised them jobs at a company in Maharashtra.

Accordingly, all of them boarded Lokmanya Tilak Express from Rangia Railway Station on July 27 last however all of them were seated in different coaches of the train.

His friends have claimed that Rajbongshi has been missing since July 29 when their train reached in between Thane and Kudal Railway Stations of Maharastra.

The friends along with the employer agent, Rubul Ali have also contacted Railway Police but failed to locate the whereabouts of Rajbongshi.

The family members of Rajbongshi have lodged a missing complaint in this regard with Goreswar police on Tuesday.
