Two more youths have been arrested in Assam’s Dhubri district for uploading and sharing ‘objectionable’ posts on their Facebook pages, police said on Sunday.
The arrested youths have been identified as 19-year-old Sakib Ahmed and 20-year-old Rocky Akond, both are residents of Dhubri town.

The duo, after being produced before the court, was sent to jail on Sunday.
A case (No 177/2020) was registered at Dhubri Sadar police station against the duo under Sections 153 (Want only giving provocation with intent to cause riot) /153 (A) (Promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc., and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony) of IPC Read With Section 67 of IT Act, police said.
Dhubri police have appealed to the sisters and brothers of Dhubri to stand united and show the mongers that their evil design cannot defeat the aspirations and hopes of the people of Dhubri to live in peace and social harmony.

Two days ago, Dhubri police arrested a youth identified as Rahul Prasad of Dhubri town for uploading and sharing an objectionable post on his Facebook page.
He sent to the jail on Friday after being arrested in a case registered under the same sections of IPC and IT Act.
