The teaser of debutant director Noni’s upcoming film, Ashanta Electron, was released on Sunday here in a programme. The movie is based on the story Ashanta Electron by celebrated Assamese writer Saurav Kr Chaliha.
Starring Kiran Shankar in the role of Jyoti Babu, the film is about complexities of social order. The film also stars Nayan Bora, Pranjal Barman, Madhusmita Borthakur, Binoy Ch Choudhury, Priyambada D Nayan, Sanjib Borgohain and Ratna Das.
Story writer Prashanta Kr Das, Parthana Saikia and Noni have penned the script of the film while Akash Duwarah has composed the music. Akash Horizon is the film’s cinematographer with Snigdha P Roy is going to edit it.
The film has been produced by Syed Tashkir Hussain under the banner Tasada Arts and Rongbeen Films.
The film will be canned across various locations in Northeast, including Guwahati, Shillong, Dimapur and Jorhat, said Pubali Bhagabati, who looks after the publicity of the film.
The shooting of the film will be started in February next and producer has planned to release it in December next year, she said.
