It is expected that the nabbed militant has several vital information about ULFA dove Pranamoy Rajguru and sympathizer Jahnabi Saikia who are already in police custody.

Meanwhile, CCTV footage obtained from downtown hospital has revealed the unholy nexus between Bijoy Asom and the Rajguru and Jahnabi duo and their meetings in Guwahati.

Police sources further revealed that Bijoy Asom was earlier accused in the murder of a woman named Rupali Rongpi in Guwahati way back in 2011 and he had also served jail term on that occasion.

Police had earlier claimed that ULFA-I rebel Bijoy hurled the grenade on May 15 in front of the Guwahati Central shopping mall on busy RG Baruah Road in Guwahati injuring 12 persons.

Police have already arrested Jahnabi Saikia, a little known TV actor and her associate, pro-talk ULFA leader Pranamoy Rajguru besides three others—Chinmoy Laskar, Indra Mohan Bora and Amit Ballav Goswami.
