Sensation prevailed in greater Bajali of Assam’s Barpeta district after the body of a youth was found on the railway tracks.
The body was found under the Chandmari over-bridge in Guwahati on Thursday night.
The deceased has been identified as 33-year-old Akahendra Talukdar who was a businessman of Pathsala town.
He had gone missing since Wednesday.
Family members alleged it was a pre-planned murder.
They suspect the killing was done elsewhere and the body dumped on the railway tracks to mislead the police into believing it was a train mishap or suicide.
On Wednesday, Akhendra went to Barpeta for business purposes, but since then he was missing.
The body has been sent for post-mortem which will reveal the actual cause of death.
Meanwhile, the mysterious death of a youth has cast a pall of gloom in the area.
Meanwhile, the family members of the victim have demanded proper investigation in the case.
