Assam youth dies of COVID-19 in Mumbai

A youth from Assam’s Hojai district died of Coronavirus in Mumbai on Sunday.

The youth, identified as Mohammad Badaruddin, who tested positive for COVID-19, died at Saint George Hospital in Mumbai.

He was admitted to the hospital three days back after he complained of abdominal pain and diarrhea.

Badruddin succumbed to his infection during the treatment on Sunday late night.

Badruddin, a resident of Kapahbari Karaiuni in Central Assam’s Hojai district, tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday itself.

Earlier on April 29, a 55-year-old CRPF sub-inspector from lower Assam’s Barpeta district, died of the deadly virus in New Delhi.

Sub-inspector SI Ikram Hussain, who was posted with 31st Battalion of the CRPF in Noida, succumbed to his infection at Safdarjung hospital in New Delhi.
