As per the irate farmers, usually the pachyderms unleash terror in this area in the late hours.

They alleged that the forest department did not pay heed to their problems after repeated complaints and did not provide sufficient protection from the wild elephants.

“We have lost everything, the crops that we had sown are completely destroyed,” the farmers said.

Farmers once again appealed the concerned authorities to look into the matter and take necessary action to solve the same.

The names of the farmers whose crops were destroyed are Babu Singh, Bimal Singh, Santhan Singh, Nab Kumar Singh, Mani Singh, Banmali Singh, Biren Singh, Awatan Singh and Raj Kishor Singh.
