The faction led by Kramsa said that they will keep working for Article 244(A) under which autonomous state comes. ‘Those who have ‘surrendered’ are requested to come with the ceasefire group and work for the demands,’ the statement added.

The KPLT is a violent insurgent group in Karbi Anglong till six years back that claimed to fight for the Karbi tribe in Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao for the grant of Autonomous State under Article 244(A) of the Indian Constitution.

The different groups, largely decimated by the anti-insurgent operations of the security forces are presently camped in West Karbi Anglong and Karbi Anglong.
