Some unidentified miscreants set ablaze a seized vehicle in police campus in Lower Assam’s Dhubri district in the wee hours of Sunday.
Police sources said on December 17, one vehicle laden with two cattle was chased and intercepted while going towards the Indo-Bangla border.

However, the driver of the vehicle somehow managed to run away from the spot.
Accordingly, the police seized the abandoned vehicle and it was kept at the campus of Soulmari Police Patrol Post.

But in the early hours of Sunday at around 2:30 am, some miscreants, who came on a bike, shouted slogans and set the vehicle ablaze and ran away from the spot by taking advantage of the darkness.
Dhubri superintendent of police Abhijit Gaurav has confirmed the incident and said the miscreants could not be identified.

However, necessary legal action is being taken and police have launched an operation in a bid to nab the culprits involved in the case, said Abhijit Gaurav.
