The Army and Dibrugarh Police in a joint operation apprehended a ULFA-I cadre in the eastern Assam district on Thursday.
The ULFA-I cadre has been identified as Babul Gogoi, son of one Bibhika Gogoi and a resident of village number-2, Nachani Gaon at Tingkhong in Dibrugarh district.

This operation was part of the ongoing crackdown against various militant outfits in various areas of Upper Assam.
Earlier, the troops of the Indian Army in a joint operation with Assam Police busted a recruitment racket of ULFA (I) and rescued a minor from Charaideo district of Upper Assam on Monday.
The apprehended persons were identified as SS Pvt Baldev Teli, a ULFA(I) cadre and Amit Bara, Sumit Baig, Azad Gohran and Vijay all overground workers.
