Two tokay geckos have been rescued by SSB troops from Bogamati area under Nagrijuli police outpost in Assam’s Baksa district along Indo-Bhutan border.

Acting on a secret information, a team of SSB troops led by Milan Chandra Shill launched an operation along Indo-Bhutan border.

During the operation, the SSB team noticed two persons along Indo-Bhutan border walking toward Bogamati tourists place with a bag.

While the persons noticed the SSB team, they managed to escape inside the dense jungle area from the spot leaving the bag.

The SSB team subsequently rescued two tokay geckos inside a bamboo tube.

The SSB team launched search operation in the jungle area along the border in search of the encroacher but failed to nab them.

The SSB later handed over the two reptiles to Kumarikata forest range office.
