Doomdooma: Two girls reported missing from Pulibor in Assam’s Jorhat district were found at Guwahati Railway Station while they were allegedly travelling towards Chandigarh, Jorhat Police said on Thursday.
Police said the girls were traced and recovered at the railway station before they could continue their journey.
“Two missing girls from Pulibor were recovered at Guwahati Railway Station when they were going towards Chandigarh. Further formalities continue,” Jorhat Police said on Thursday.
Police have not disclosed further details about when or how the girls went missing or why they were travelling to Chandigarh.
The girls are expected to be handed over to their families after the required legal and procedural formalities are completed, police said.
