The district administration has declared two areas in Assam’s North Lakhimpur as containment zones following spikes in COVID-19 cases.
The Milan Nagar area of Ward No 10 of North Lakhimpur was declared a containment zone following reports of 17 positive cases in the area on Monday.

Similarly, the headquarter of 13 Assam Police Battalion in Lilabari was declared a containment zone by the district administration as its 17 personnel were tested positive of COVID-19.
Meanwhile, the total number of patients tested positive for COVID-19 in Lakhimpur district has crossed 500 on Monday.
