Assam Tourism Brand Ambassador Priyanka Chopra is hogging all the limelight lately for her rumoured engagement to ‘hot date’ Nick Jonas, who is an American singer-songwriter.
She is also grabbing a lot of eyeballs for opting out of Salman Khan’s Bharat and the Director of the film Ali Abbas Zafar dropped a hint that she left the film because of a “very special reason”, which she told the makers in the “Nick of time”.

The Baywatch actor, who was trolled for wearing a frock in an Assam Tourism advertisement, said on Monday in New Delhi that her personal life is not for “public consumption”.
In a report published in the The Indian Express, the 36-year-old actor said she does not feel the need to give an explanation about her relationships to anyone.
The report further quoted her as saying, “My personal life is not for public consumption. Ninety per cent of my life is for public consumption but 10 per cent is for me. I am a girl and I have the right to keep that to myself. My family, friendship, my relationships are things I don’t think I need to defend or explain it to anyone. I am not running for the Office, so I don’t think I need to give explanations,” Priyanka said.

The actor was speaking at an interactive session in New Delhi titled ‘Challenging the Status Quo & Forging New Paths’ organised jointly by FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) and Yes Bank. Reports of Priyanka getting engaged to Nick started started spreading like wild fire after she opted out of Salman Khan’s Bharat.
Over the last two months, the 25-year-old singer Nick and the 36-year-old Quantico star have been spotted on several outings, including a dinner date in New York City and a Beauty and the Beast Live in Concert show in Los Angeles. While Nick introduced Priyanka to his family during the wedding of his cousin, the former Miss World was accompanied by the singer to India where they met her mother Madhu Chopra.
Priyanka Chopra was in Jorhat (in Assam) in the beginning of 2018 to shoot for Assam Tourism commercials. She shot in and around Jorhat and also sat as a bride in a traditional Ahom marriage chak-long. She also tried few steps of Bihu with the school girls at Subarna Prabha Bordoloi Girls High School in Jorhat.
The Assam Government had signed a two-year agreement in 2016 with Priyanka to promote tourism of the State both at the national and international levels.
