In a successful operation against poachers, the police arrested three dreaded poachers and recovered leopard skin and bones from their possession.
The three poachers have been identified as Yudhisthis Tatai, Subhash Mirdha and Bullet Munda alias Babu.
The arrest was made from near Bihpukhuri under Gingia Police Station in Biswanath district.
It has been suspected that the leopard was hunted between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh border.
Informing about the arrest in a tweet, the Kaziranga National Park & Tiger Reserve said, “3 accused namely Yudhisthir Tati(28), Subhash mirdha(24), Bullet munda alias babu(37) were arrested near Bihpukuri under Gingia Thana in connection with illegal trading & possession of leopard skin and bones. It is suspectedly hunted btw Assam & Arunachal border.”
