Assam: Three bike-borne youths die on spot in road mishap in Jakhalabandha

Three bikers were killed in a horrific road accident at around 9.30 pm on Saturday at Hospital Chariali under Jakhalabandha police station in central Assam’s Nagaon district.

Police said the accident took place when a truck (AS 05 C2186), which was heading towards Jorhat, collided head-on with a Royal Enfield bullet at Hospital Chariali.

The three youths, who were coming to Nagaon side on the bike, died on the spot, said a police official.

The deceased have been identified as Riku Saikia of Dulal Madhav village in Koliabar, Dhrurajyoti Bhuiyan of Kunwaritol and Lalon Prasad Ravidas.

However, upon receiving the news of the accident, a team from Jakhlabandha Police Station rushed to the spot and rushed the youths to Jakhlabandha Hospital, where the doctor declared them brought dead.
