Guwahati: At least three men were arrested by the police in Nagaon, Assam on Tuesday for allegedly possessing an unlicensed gun.
According to police, the three were arrested based on inputs about them having a suspected firearm that was unlicensed and illegal.

Based on the input, the police initiated an investigation and raided an area in the Bhakatgaon area.

During the operation, the police came across three suspicious persons.

On checking them, the police found a pistol with four 7.65 mm bullets.

The police arrested the three identified as Abu Shahid, Siddiq Ali and Mukut.
The police said that further investigation regarding their activities.
Police are also checking for records that may suggest that these three were involved in dacoity or even murder.
