With the rest of Assam, the employees of the Tezpur APDCL registered protest on Monday against the government’s move to privatize the department.
The APDCL employees staged a two-hour sit-in demonstration programme in front of the divisional office of ASEB at Tezpur from 10 am on Monday.
They registered their protest with sloganeering against the government’s alleged privatization move of the electricity department.
The protestors mentioned that they would never accept the government’s decision to privatize the APDCL else APDCL employee’s body would move for vigorous movement against the government.
