Q. Thaneshwar thank you for speaking to Northeast Now. Firstly, how does it feel to be a part of such a renowned star cast and a fil which has been critically acclaimed?

A. Well, it feels really good. I am delighted for being a part of such renowned star cast and getting the opportunity to work with experienced actors of the Bollywood industry in itself is an excellent lesson for me.

Rashmi Rocket

I learnt a lot through this particular journey. I have learned from the very beginning. From my casting director calling me up for the role. I would like to thank personally my dear friend Rose, Poonam Maam, Shreya, Jina who approached me for this role and believing in me.

Q. You worked alongside many experienced actors. So, were you able to get some acting tips from them?

A. Throughout those six day’s I learnt a lot from all the renowned actors in the star cast, starting from the sensation Taapsee Pannu to Mantra Sir and other experienced senior actors. I learnt many things from them on the shooting set. I closely observed them doing their scenes. It was a great learning lesson. Apart from that I got some very essential acting tips too from them, which will help me later for sure.

Q. When did you decide to pursue a career in acting?

A. I started off my career as a model and started professional modelling in the year of 2011 and have been modelling since then, while pursuing my graduation in Guwahati. Since then, there has been no looking back.

It was in the year of 2015 when I got selected for the character of Ashwatthama for the theatre drama called ‘Andhayug’ under the guidance of Mark in Guwahati. I won the best Actor award for that particular role. It was then when I started taking acting seriously.

Then, I worked in an Assamese feature film called ‘Janakkandini’, which is on hold and yet to be released. Apart from that regional music videos are also on the list.

Though, it has been my dream since childhood days to work in the Bollywood someday.

Rashmi RocketQ. How the struggle has been thus far?

A. Well, talking about struggle, it has been a mixture of all kinds. It has been a roller coaster. It has been both good and tough at times. At the same time, it has been very interesting too. I think the real struggle has started now. It’s good that I went through all these hurdles that helped me discover myself in a true sense.

My past struggles taught me a lot. It helped me develop positivity in me no matter what happens. No matter how tough or bad situation the situation is. One has to think positively.

Q. What is your mantra for success?

A. According to me, the real mantra is that you should clearly know who you are, what exactly you want to achieve, where exactly you want to see in the future.

Once you have a clear idea of what you want in life, you should develop a strong mindset and create your own identity. There will be ups and downs, but if you know how to train yourself mentally, physically, financially, emotionally and spiritually, one would definitely become capable of handling circumstances accordingly.

A healthy mind, a fit healthy body, proper education, good skills and practical knowledge, determination, persistence, patience and dedication are important to scale up new heights. That’s my Mantra and I myself am still learning and improving myself.

A. As of now, I am running my own business. It’s a gym by the name “The Motivation Gym”. I am also running a supplement, fashion clothing and accessories store.

Apart from this, currently I am preparing for upcoming national and international event for the T-Series event later this month, which will be a Fashion Week at the Spring Valley Resort near Guwahati city.
