Assam: Suspected ATM robber injured during police firing in Goalpara

Another person in Assam was injured in a police firing in Goalpara’s Nayapara.

As per sources, the person has been claimed to be an ATM robber by the police.

He was identified as Mussadik Hussain of Krishnai in Goalpara.

Hussain has been alleged of being involved in an ATM heist.

The police traced him based on the CCTV footage from the ATM corner.

On being identified, the police traced him to his rented house in the Nayapara area.

However, as per the police, on reaching the house, accused Hussain had allegedly tried to flee from the police machete.

During this, the police said that to stop the accused from running away, they had to resort to “controlled firing”.

Hussain was injured in the firing and was apprehended by the police.

He is currently being treated at a medical facility in Goalpara.
