Guwahati: Assam’s Special Task Force (STF) apprehended three individuals suspected of poaching and seized a rhino horn during an operation conducted on Saturday night.
Acting on specific intelligence, the STF raided a lodge in Sonapur, Kamrup Metro district.

The operation targeted Room No 103, where the STF apprehended the three individuals.

A rhino horn, which the poachers had concealed within the room, was successfully recovered.

Additionally, the STF confiscated two scooters, three mobile phones, and an undisclosed amount of cash.

The apprehended individuals have been identified as Ikram Hussain (36), Rajab Ali (62) and Amirul Islam (40).
Police are currently investigating the case.
