In an incident of matricide, two youths killed their mother after disputes over petty matters.
According to reports, Radhika Koul (55) an inhabitant of Gourbasti near Tangla town in Udalguri district was allegedly strangled to death by her two sons- Bablu Koul (30) and Rakesh Koul (25).

The incident took place on Saturday morning.
The locals informed that there were regular disputes among the three over several issues.
Sources informed that the sons got into an argument with the deceased over a sum of Rs 3000.

“They were habitual drinkers and villagers have suspected that the duo strangled her to death,” the police said.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case and booked them under relevant sections of IPC.
